The field of human resource management is constantly changing and requires that you keep up to date in order to be in compliance with the various laws and regulations. One of the cost saving initiatives that we use in Human Resources is to attend webinars (web based training/presentations) whenever it is feasible. The cost is much less than a regular training seminar (travel, food, lodging, etc.) and several employees can participate. All that is required is a computer and access to the Internet. Recently two of our HR professionals and a member of the Legal staff participated in a webinar on changes to the immigration law. The cost of the webinar was less than $300.00.
